Programming (2nd-5th) 2:30 - 3:30

Instructor: Henri Ducharme

Room: 113

Course Fee: $210

You will learn the Scratch programming language. If you’ve never programmed before, you’ll start with very simple projects like making the kitty cat draw a square or teaching the kitty cat to bounce off the walls or disappear. You’ll be doing kitty cat tricks in no time! If you’ve already programmed in Scratch, you can do more advanced projects. In previous years, we’ve done class projects like making PONG, which was the first video game ever, or programming a weird marble run inside Scratch.

Note for parents: Scratch is a modern descendant of LOGO and is one of the simplest and most versatile language to get kids started on. It is an online application, and in the past most students have been excited enough to continue their programming adventures from home — so watch out!
